POWER BANK FAQ's

  • AIR TRAVEL WARNING: Always contact or refer to your Air Carriers website to determine the safety precautions required when transporting goods that may be deemed hazardous or dangerous. We have provided links here for your reference:
  • LITHIUM BATTERY AIR TRAVEL WARNING: Lithium batteries are used to power rechargeable electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets and game consoles, mobility aids and assistive devices, and portable medical equipment including CPAP machines and oxygen concentrators. If you’re travelling with a device containing lithium batteries, here are some things you need to know:

      • There are no restrictions for batteries under 101Wh (eg found in mobile phones, laptops)
      • All spare batteries must travel as carry-on baggage.
      • Batteries in checked baggage must have the ON/OFF switch protected to prevent accidental activation.
      • Batteries between 101Wh and 160Wh (eg in medical equipment) require airline approval, which you can request by emailing dg@qantas.com.au.
      • Any batteries over 160Wh must be sent by Qantas Freight.

GENERAL FAQ's

  • What is MOQ?: MOQ stands for Minimum Order Quantity
  • What is the MOQ for LINQ's Power Banks?: Minimum order is subject to product choice.
  • What is mAH?: Most power banks will feature a number on the power bank  that tells you the number of mAh or “milliamp-hour”.Common sizes range from 2,000mAh up to 10,000mAh or even 20,000mAh. Bigger numbers mean more power and more recharges for your smartphone, or charging for bigger devices that need more power, like a tablet. We’ve used smartphones and tablets to compare battery sizes, but most power banks will charge any device that charges via USB, such as a GoPro camera, Kindle reader or Bluetooth headset. Bigger devices that draw more power will need bigger batteries – more mAh – to charge them fully.
  • Does the amount of power capacity / higher maH affect price?: YES. The more power capacity you need the more expensive the product becomes. However, if you're not sure or need a comparison price for different power sizes, advise LINQ in your enquiry or contact the team at LINQ today.
  • ANY DISCOUNTS?: YES indeed!. Place a large quantity order and we'll look after you with a good deal. Contact the  team at LINQ today to discuss discount opportunities.
  • What are the PRICES of the Power Banks?: There are no set prices. Prices will be determined at the time of making an enquiry. The price is subject to numerous factors such as type of design, amount of power capacity, power bank colour and material type. The most significant factor affecting price is the quantity being ordered. The higher the order quantity the cheaper the unit price becomes. LINQ will always aim to produce an order to match your budget requirements, our aim is to get you the best power banks for the best price.
  • Are there any the set up fees?: We've made this simple for you, there a NO set up fees...that's right, no additional fees are added.
  • When does production begin?: Production begins when a) the artwork has been approved, b) the product type & colour has been agreed and c) funds have cleared in to LINQ's designated business bank account.
  • What are the production lead times?: We have no set timeframe, lead times are subject to numerous factors such as quantity being produced, method of shipment, complexity of the order. We tend to work towards a standard 3 to 5 week production lead time but this can be less or more depending on the order. A LINQ team member will advise the lead times once the enquiry has been made.
  • What artwork format does LINQ require?: Standard artwork files accepted by LINQ are .eps or vector images in ai. Basically we need hi-res logos with all text and images outlined. However, don't panic, if you're not sure we can help you here. We'll make sure the artwork is approved before proceeding with production.
    • What is an .eps file: EPS (short for Encapsulated PostScript) is a vector format designed for printing to PostScript printers and imagesetters. It is considered the best choice of graphics format for high resolution printing of illustrations. EPS files are created and edited in illustration programs such as Adobe Illustrator.
    • What is a vector in Adobe Illustrator? Vector art is created using vector illustration software programs, such as Adobe Illustrator. These programs use mathematic equations and geometric primitives (points, lines, and shapes) to create art that is clean, printer ready, and can be scaled infinitely, without any loss of quality or fidelity.
    • What is a vector file? An EPS file is a vector file of a graphic, text or illustration. These tend to be the master logo files. An AI file is a proprietary, vector file type created by Adobe that can only be created or edited with Adobe Illustrator.
  • How do I send my artwork to LINQ?: Once you have completed the your Enquiry a member of the LINQ team will be in contact. You will be able to email the LINQ team member directly with your artwork files or alternatively you can email info@linqpromotions.com.au and a team member will pick this up.
  • Can I order a sample?: Yes. You can either order a non-branded. Samples may carry a fee due to delivery costs etc but this will be refunded if you go ahead and complete a MOQ order. LINQ also has sample products in the office so we can always arrange a meeting to show you some of the products from our range. Sample orders take anywhere from 5-15 working days.
  • How can I guarantee I'll be happy with the product?: Before we begin production you will be given a digital proof to sign off on. The digital proof will show the style and colour of the power bank. We will also encourage you to take up the offer of viewing a physical sample.
  • Can I match a product colour to a PMS Code?:  If you have a request for a product made to your exact PMS colour, contact the team at LINQ today to discuss if this option is available.
  • What does PMS color code stand for? PMS, stands for Pantone Matching System, and it is a system designed by the Pantone company to ensure that colors are printed consistently across multiple media, and across several jobs.
  • mAH Power Guide: Use the table below as a guide for measuring how much power your power bank can supply. This is a guide only!
  • Speed Guide: The USB port on your power bank will fit any standard USB cable, however, the amount of power it can  provide may vary. This is a guide only!

  • Explain more about Lithium Polymer batteries?: Lithium Polymer, aka Li-poly cells come in the following standard mAH sizes: 2000mah, 3000mah, 4000mah, 5000mah & 10000mah. Custom sizes can be made for larger quantity orders. Li-poly cells are deemed safer and more durable than their 18650 Li-ion cell counterparts. Most good quality power banks are fitted with Li-poly cells rather than say 18650 cells. 18650 cells are cheaper but their performance and stability are not as efficient or effective.
  • Explain more about 18650 Li-ion batteries? Lithium-ion, aka Lio-ion batteries come in the following standard mah sizes:  1800mah, 2000mah, 2200mah, 2600mah & 3000mah. They are normally cylindrical in shape. Li-ion batteries have been on the market for a long long time and are an older form of technology compared to the newer style Li-poly batteries.
  • How do you calculate Watt hours?: Multiply the voltage (V) by the amp hours (Ah). For example: 12V x 5Ah = 60Wh.
    • Convert mAh to Watt hours.  Formula is (mAh)*(V)/1000 = (Wh). For example, if you have a 300mAh battery rated at 5V, the power is 300mAh * 5V / 1000 = 1.5Wh.
